as the newly elected president of the International Szondi Association I send my warmest greetings to all of you.
I would like to thank everyone who participated in our XIInd Congress in Pécs in July either as a presenter, a volunteer or a participant. We had a great Conference with valuable lectures, discussions and personal meetings from 10 countries all over the world. We were happy that through the internet several of you could join the congress online. On the new website of the Association we keep the congress data available, and you can download the Program Book which contains all the abstracts of the Conference. I would like to thank Professor Bruno Gonçalves, the previous president of ISA that in the past 8 years he took the responsibility to lead the community. I also would like to thank Dr. Robert Maebe for the past 8 years and for his great motivation to continue as the Treasurer of the Association. I am sure that by his caring responsibility the finances of the Association are in safe hands.
Since in the past years, mainly because of the pandemics, the membership activity dramatically dropped, currently our main task is to recollect those professionals and interested people who want to be part of our Community. Therefore we renewed the website of the Association and added a membership page, where all the needed information is available. To support the reactivation of memberships, the Assembly has significantly reduced the membership fee (CHF 50/year) and added a discounted option for BA and MA Students for CHF 20/year. I would like to encourage you to (re)register your membership and spread this possibility in your close community. The members of the Association get regular updates about the community, they can enjoy a reduced fee at the ISA Conferences and support the work of the Association. We would like to strengthen our connection to the Szondi Institute in Zürich. The Institute played a crucial role in the life of the Association. In the past years they are also struggling with the significantly dropped activity. Our common roots, our personal and professional relationships imply to strongly work on a cooperation that is fruitful for all of us.
Finally, I wish you a wonderful time for the remaining summer and I hope that 2022 will be the year of the start of our common renewal.
